Take on 26.2 miles for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Hear from Jamie, who ran the 2022 TCS London Marathon for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
"I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) in 1986 when I was six months old. My parents were told by the doctor to do everything they could to give me the best life possible because I might be lucky to reach double figures. That's exactly what they did. They never wrapped me up in cotton wool but instead let me live my life to the full, instilling in me that no matter how hard things get, life is precious. More than 30 years later, I still live by this mantra. I’m grateful for every day and am living and loving life.
"I decided to run the London Marathon for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust because they have given me so much support over the years. If my fundraising and story could help or inspire even one person with CF, then I knew it would be so worth it."
By having support from people like Jamie, we can work towards a brighter future for everyone with CF by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
