Young Lives vs Cancer

Make a difference to young cancer patients at the TCS London Marathon

Did you secure a place in the 2023 TCS London Marathon Ballot? Yes? Then we have a spot on Team Young Lives waiting for you. Join a team built on friendship and support which runs on a passion to make sure no child faces cancer alone.

Every day, 12 children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. When a child is diagnosed, life becomes full of fear – for both them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelmed by money worries and of having nowhere to turn and nobody to talk to. That’s where Young Lives vs Cancer steps in. We help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. We face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Use your 26.2 miles to make a difference to children facing cancer.

We know that choosing your running team is a big decision and the magic of crossing the Finish Line will stay with you for a lifetime. Team Young Lives knows how to do the London Marathon properly and makes sure you have the greatest experience. We are a community of go-getters, challenge accepters and memory makers. A team where targets are smashed, fun is a priority and every achievement is celebrated.

We love our runners for using their marathon miles to support children with cancer and in return shower you with support, motivation and the best charity perks. You'll receive a personalised running vest, training and fundraising help, support from the Team Young Lives running community, the loudest cheer squad on Marathon Day, an exclusive invite to our post-marathon party, a well-deserved massage and – to top it off – friends and memories to last a lifetime.

Hear from Simon, a Team Young Lives runner, on why you should join the best team at the 2023 TCS London Marathon:

"Running for Young Lives v Cancer is not just about supporting an incredible charity – it is about becoming part of an amazing team. Having run the London Marathon previously for the charity, I felt compelled to return, as the passion of Young Lives vs Cancer Team is infectious.

"Wearing the Young Lives v Cancer vest on the big day and receiving support from the cheer stations and fellow runners along the course enhanced my experience. I felt that I was part of something bigger than just the London Marathon, which in itself is pretty amazing! Through that shared experience as part of the team, I have made friends for life.

"I ran the London Marathon with Young Lives vs Cancer hoping to help change people's lives. What I didn’t expect was how the experience of being part of the Young Lives Team would change my life!"
