About the ballot
When does the ballot open?
The ballot for the 2024 TCS London Marathon opened on Saturday 22 April 2023 and closed at 21:00 on Friday 28 April 2023. Find out more about how the ballot works here.
When are the ballot results announced?
The results of the 2024 TCS London Marathon Ballot were emailed to all entrants on Thursday 6 July 2023.
How many people gain a place through the ballot each year?
We do not disclose details of the ballot process for any of our events as it is commercially sensitive information. The number of places available via the ballot varies each year depending on the number of runners who qualify for Good For Age places and the number of entries that are deferred from the previous year.
Can I exchange the training top I received for donating my entry fee, if it’s the wrong size?
Yes – please send the original, along with a note including your full name, runner number, preferred size and full postal address, to: Freepost - LONDON MARATHON EVENTS. We will then send you the requested item within two weeks.
After the marathon
My time is missing or incorrect – what should I do?
Please head to the results section of the TCS London Marathon website where you can fill in a results correction form to notify us of any changes you require.
Can I exchange my finisher's T-shirt for a different size?
You will be given the chance to select your t-shirt size in the run-up to the event. If it does not fit when you receive it after crossing the Finish Line and you would like to exchange it, please send your t-shirt, along with a note including your full name, bib number, preferred t-shirt size and full postal address, to: Freepost - LONDON MARATHON EVENTS. We will then send you the requested t-shirt within two weeks.
