Before the marathon
How do I collect my Event Pack?
Your Event Pack contains your all-important bib number, which you must wear on Marathon Day. You'll need to collect your pack from the TCS London Marathon Running Show, which takes place in London over the four days before the marathon. The show is also a great opportunity to calm any pre-event nerves by listening to expert talks and advice – and do some last-minute shopping! If you can't attend the TCS London Marathon Running Show, someone can collect your pack on your behalf – details of how to do this are in the Event Guide. Please note we do not send Event Packs by post or allow them to be collected on Marathon Day.
When and where does the marathon start?
Participants in the mass 2023 TCS London Marathon will set off from one of three Start Lines in the Greenwich/Blackheath area of London. Start times will vary depending on what wave you are in. We will let you know your full details, including wave, start time, and recommended arrival time and place in the run-up to the event.
Will I receive an Event Guide?
Yes – we will email all TCS London Marathon participants an in-depth Event Guide in the run-up to the event. The Event Guide contains everything you need to know about taking part, including information about collecting your kit bag, when and where you need to arrive on Event Day and how to arrange to meet friends of family after your 26.2 miles – plus lots more!
Can I change my start time so I can run with a friend?
It's a mammoth task to safely assemble around 40,000 participants on the Start Line – this means we can't accommodate individual requests, or allow you to move forward within your Start Area. However, you are welcome to move back and do not need to notify us to do so.
After the marathon
Will my marathon time be published online?
Yes – your bib number contains a timing chip so we are able to publish all participants' times on the TCS London Marathon website within 24 hours of the event. You'll then be able to look up your official time on the site using your bib number.
My time is missing or incorrect – what should I do?
Please head to the results section of the TCS London Marathon website where you can fill in a results correction form to notify us of any changes you require.
