What is the TCS London Marathon Ballot?
We often talk about ‘the ballot’ – ballot entrants, ballot results and so on. But what exactly is the TCS London Marathon Ballot? If you don’t know, you’ve come to the right place.
The TCS London Marathon Ballot (‘the ballot’) is like The National Lottery – you enter along with thousands of others and then the lucky winners are chosen at random in a draw. But, if you’re successful in the TCS London Marathon Ballot, instead of receiving a cash prize you’ll be allocated a place in the next edition of the event, which you then have time to pay for and secure.
Did you know you can get a second chance?
If you choose to donate your entry fee during the ballot process, it’s a win-win situation. If you do get a ballot place, it means your entry is pre-paid and confirmed – and if you don’t, we’ll automatically enter you into a lucky draw for a second chance to win one of 2,000 extra places!
And if you still don’t get in after that, you’ll receive the following:
- a premium winter running top (RRP £70)
- a chance to win one of three pairs of entries to one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, including accommodation and flights
- serious kudos, as your donation will help The London Marathon Charitable Trust to make a difference and inspire activity across the UK
