 Lakatos claimed the biggest win of his career at the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon when he sprinted to victory on The Mall during at the end of the elite-only race held around St James’s Park. The Canadian, who is based in Loughborough in the UK, is known for his speed and fast finishes and showed his full range at the Tokyo Paralympics where he won silver medals in the 100m and 800m, plus a bronze in the 400m in the T53 class and another silver in the T54 5,000m. He was fourth in the marathon in a new PB of 1:29:18. He has also won the Berlin Marathon.
