Notes: Romanchuk became the dominant wheelchair racer on the marathon circuit in 2019 when he won the Boston, London, Chicago and New York titles and taking the Abbott World Marathon Majors  Series XII crown.  In 2018 he became the first American man to win the New York wheelchair crown and the youngest wheelchair champion. He showed his incredible range at the Tokyo Olympics, winning a gold medal in the 400m and a bronze in the marathon. Born in Baltimore with spina bifida, he now lives in Urbana where he is part of the Illinois Wheelchair Racing Team. Nicknamed ‘Rocket Man’, he is known for his long, powerful arms – his wingspan measures two metres.
