De Rozario became the first Australian woman to win a Paralympic marathon gold medal when she pipped Manuela Schar to win in Tokyo on September 5. It capped a fine Paralympics for de Rozario who also won a gold medal in the 800m. Breaking records is nothing new for de Rozario, she became the first Australian woman to win the London Marathon when she clinched victory in 2018, a week after taking gold in the Commonwealth Games. Nicknamed ‘Bandit’, she is coached by Louise Sauvage.
