About the Official TCS London Marathon App

The Official TCS London Marathon App is powered by title partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

The hugely successful Official App has been developed by TCS since 2016 and a number of enhancements have been made for 2023. 

In its second year of title partnership, TCS continues to prioritise enhancing the participant and supporter experience of the event to deliver on TCS London Marathon’s vision of inspiring sports-related activities and charitable giving.

The Official TCS London Marathon App was downloaded nearly 390,000 times in 2022.  

This year, participants can use a new feature in the app called New for 2023! that enables participants to scan their 2023 TCS London Marathon bib number to display the #WeRunTogether video, which features participants who showcase the spirit of the event.

The popular Belief Booster feature – which had 163,000 submissions in its debut year in 2022 – allows supporters to share motivational messages to encourage participants in the mass event. This year, messages will be displayed on a screen near the halfway point, as well as on the LED gantry on the event’s world-famous Finish Line on The Mall, just like last year. Messages will also be shared in a post-event email to the participant, along with an option to upload the message to social media.

The Official TCS London Marathon App includes an inspiring audio track featuring the well-known voices of Paula Radcliffe and Steve Cram, with fellow BBC athletics presenter Jeanette Kwakye joining the team again this year.  

Additionally, participants can use the TCS London Marathon App to: 

  • record their 26.2 miles 
  • and find expert tips and advice. 

Supporters can use it to: 

  • follow participants’ progress 
  • keep up to date with the Elite Leaderboard 
  • and find out results.

In addition, the ‘Get Social’ feature enables both participants and supporters to share their TCS London Marathon experience via branded selfies which can be posted to users’ social media channels.
