The 39th annual London Marathon Medicine Conference, which will focus on the medicine and science of marathon running, will take place this year on Saturday 22 April – the day before the 2023 TCS London Marathon. All those who work in healthcare or in a science-related field are warmly invited to join.

The conference will feature a panel of sports scientists and medics with extensive experience in the science and medicine of endurance running, all of whom will present their latest research.

Talks will include ‘Resisting the urge to stop: Psychological strategies for endurance performance’ by Dr Carla Meijen, PhD from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and ‘Nutrition and athlete immune health: Food first but not food only’ by Professor Neil Walsh, PhD from Liverpool John Moores University.
