Meet Our Experts

From Start to Finish – we’ll help you every step of the way

After an amazing virtual event last year that saw more than 8,500 of you tune into our online content, we created an even better Meet Our Experts experience for participants in 2022 – and this time we were back in person in central London.

What went on at Meet Our Experts 2022

We were delighted to be able to meet again at an exciting new venue – The Royal Institution in Mayfair – on Saturday 11 June 2022.

It was the ideal place for participants to receive top tips ahead of the big event and hear from experts on everything they needed to know about running a marathon – and even a few things they didn’t know they needed to know! We hosted the following talks at the event:

Official kit from New Balance

The Meet Our Experts experience continued just a stone's throw away at New Balance’s flagship store on Oxford Street. Here, New Balance footwear experts held special breakout sessions where participants could learn all about how to avoid injury and ask any questions they had.

Participants also had the chance to have their gait checked, ask what to wear during training and on the big day and get an exclusive first look at New Balance’s TCS London Marathon training collection!

Everything you need to know

Back at The Royal Institution, a wide range of specialists in physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition and hydration, as well as past participants and London Marathon Events staff, were on hand to answer all kinds of queries.

Our partners Buxton Water and Lucozade Sport were also available to offer advice, and Bloomsbury Books brought along some of their top health and fitness authors and titles.

Charity runners picked up top fundraising tips from Enthuse, our official fundraising platform partner, and had a unique opportunity to speak with representatives from a variety of charities.
