The “Promoter” of the Prize Draw is London Marathon Events Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 01528489 and whose registered office is at 190 Great Dover Street, London, England, SE1 4YB.
Any entrant who enters the virtual 2023 TCS London Marathon (UK and International entrants) will be entered into our random prize draw for a chance to win one of 24 guaranteed entries into the mass 2024 TCS London Marathon.
By submitting an application to enter the virtual 2023 TCS London Marathon, the entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right, exercisable in its sole discretion, to refuse entry to this Prize Draw, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
Only one entry per person.
There will be a total of 24 individual winners.
The Prize Draw is open to all entrants to the virtual 2023 TCS London Marathon (excluding employees of the Promoter, event partners and sponsors and their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw).
The prize that entrants can win is one guaranteed entry into the mass 2024 TCS London Marathon.
The Prize Draw is free to enter but each guaranteed entry to the 2024 mass TCS London Marathon costs £49.99 and the winners must pay this entry fee to secure their prize.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
The winners will be notified by the Promoter after the virtual 2023 TCS London Marathon entry system closes in April 2023 and will given a deadline by which the £49.99 must be paid. If a winner does not pay the fee by such date, then they will forfeit their prize.
Participation in the TCS London Marathon 2024 is governed by the event’s terms and conditions of entry in force at the relevant time, which each winner will need to accept at the time that they pay the entry fee.
The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. There is no cash alternative.
The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
The competition is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or over.
The Promoter will either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place – being the surname and county of the winner. If any entrant objects to their surname and county being published or made available in the event that they win the Prize Draw, they should contact the Promoter here: www.tcslondonmarathon.com/help/contact-us. Where applicable, the Promoter shall provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or that of its employees. The statutory rights of the Entrants are not affected.
The winner may be required to participate in publicity related to the Prize Draw, including but not limited to the publication of their name (or any part thereof) in any form of media. By participating in the Prize Draw, the winner agrees to all such publicity and use of their name (or any part thereof) by the Promoter.
The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and Entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
